Battle of the Foundations!
Many people have asked and well here it is. In this review you will find out which foundation should be part of your collection and which one should stay right there at the store. Not only drugstore brands but some high end ones too. Lets get to it! Also these are in no particular order! #1: Maybelline FIT ME Foundation Shade: 322 Warm Honey Type: Matte + Poreless Uses: Normal to Oily skin (Good matte for normal skin and regular foundation that wont cause oiliness for people with oily skin) Price: $5.99 at Walmart This foundation for me is matte but it is so matte that it actually shows my pores once it has been on for awhile (if that even makes sense). It has a slightly thick consistency making it medium coverage. If you are looking for something to cover all your dark marks this wont be it. However, it will blur a lot of the darker spots to make your skin tone look more even throughout. Overall it is a holy grail drugstore foundation and for its price you cant beat it! #2: Maybelline FIT ME Foundation Shade: 235 Pure Beige Type: Dewy + Smooth Uses: Normal to Dry skin (Great dewy look for people with normal skin and regular foundation that wont dry out your skin if you have dry skin) Price: $5.99 at Walmart This foundation for me is just a normal foundation it is not really dewy and is not full coverage but it does not admit to being full coverage. However, it will blur like the other FIT ME mentioned above so you have an even skin tone. It is definitely worth your dollar! #3: Maybelline Super Stay Better Skin Foundation Shade: 90 Warm Honey Type: Oil free Uses: I would say people with oily skin would benefit from this foundation. Price: $9.98 at Walmart This foundation has a thick consistency and covers dark marks pretty well better than any other drugstore foundation I have ever used before. It last long (all day), probably because its so thick. Once the foundation sits on the face for awhile it doesn't feel as thick but still covers pretty well. #4: L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Shade: 110 Crème Café Type: Oil control Uses: Any skin type Price: $12 at Walmart Lets start off by saying less is more with this foundation. The more you use the more you will have that cake face look (no one wants that). Using small dots all over the face (2/cheek, 2 for the forehead, 2 nose, 1 for the chin) will really make the difference and trust me it spreads. I use a beauty blender to do this and maybe that's why. The coverage on the back says medium, and many YouTubers have said its full coverage (its not full). The dark spots I have were not covered by this foundation but that's just my opinion. Overall it is great when used carefully! #5: Clinique Beyond Perfection Foundation + Concealer Shade: 21 Cream Caramel Type: All over coverage or spot conceal/ Oil free Uses: Conceal Price: $27 at Ulta This was the first foundation I ever bought from Ulta and the only foundation that I had for awhile. I thought it was Holy Grail until my trip to Florida. This foundation did not last ten minutes (literally) in the Florida humidity! It was not even summer type when I went and it still did not last. I took this foundation because it is a little darker then my natural skin tone so it would be a perfect color for me when I am tanner (Florida suntans). However, that was big regret I officially do not like foundation anymore. Do not waste your money, I would use this as a concealer though not a foundation! #6: Stila Stay All Day Foundation & Concealer Shade: Dark 11 Type: All Day foundation Uses: Regular everyday foundation Price: $44 at Sephora I can not say enough good stuff about this foundation! The best foundation I have ever used literally! This foundation comes with a built in concealer located in the long cap of the product. They do not give you enough concealer there but you can purchase more separately at a cheap price so it is not that bad. The concealer with the foundation makes this FULL COVERAGE all your dark spots gone. Plus this last all day just use a setting spray to ensure long lasting coverage.
